Class Schedule

Carolyn Christie offers Iyengar Yoga and Pranayama classes at the Iyengar Yoga Institute of New York, Yogis & Yoginis in Brooklyn, and Bushel Collective in Delhi, providing students with a supportive and focused environment for practice. In addition to studio classes, she also teaches online sessions and classes on Emerald Farm, bringing the principles of Iyengar Yoga and breathwork directly to students from her home.

In Person / Hybrid Classes

  • Once the basic foundation is learned, Level 1 standing poses are deeply familiar and Sarvangasana can be held for at least 5 minutes, students move onto Level 2. This includes, refines and expands upon what was taught in Level 1. Sirsasana (headstand), Full Arm Balance, and backbends are introduced. Deeper twistings and forward extensions as well as variations in Shoulderstand are explored.

  • Iyengar Yoga with Carolyn Christie meets on Saturdays from 10:00-11:30am. Occasionally, class is offered at alternate times or days; check the events page or our yoga calendar for updates.

    Join Carolyn to reconnect your mind and body through yoga asana practice. The Iyengar method of learning and practicing asanas engages the mind as well as body. With breath as conditioner, the mind as the seeker, Iyengar yoga practice gives strength mobility to the body, stability to the mind.

    Open to all; class is for all levels, from no experience with yoga to many years $20 per 90-minute class, payable to the instructor
